Visit date: 16/09/06 A very special day as Lancaster NX611 'Just Jane' lifted her tail in public for the first time. The weather wasn't as good as expected but that didn't prevent the planned run. In fact, we were all treated to quite a full afternoon, as there was the 'normal' run at lunchtime. This was followed in the afternoon by two fast, tail-up runs along the new grass airstrip. There was plenty of time to see her running and soak up the noise and atmosphere. Congratulations to all involved for an interesting day of nostalgia. Plenty of good memories of this super heritage centre, which year after year sees the number of exhibits, artefacts and displays being added to. The food is good as well! CDP 2006 |
